A SocioStory Centre is your college's way of answering NGOs who need volunteers. NGOs nearby create drives on SocioStory: a lake clean-up, a plantation, a blood donation camp, a day sorting donations. SocioStory offers the seats on those drives to nearby Centres, and the Centre's leaders decide which ones their members can fill.

That turns the usual pattern around. NGOs don't search for students or browse their profiles. They ask, and the Centre answers. Your members choose the drives they want, and the NGO sees only the people on its own drive.

How a Centre comes to be

  1. The college sets up the Centre in its SocioStory workspace and names a faculty anchor.
  2. The college signs a free three-year MoU with SocioStory and uploads it. It stays private.
  3. A student is proposed as the first Lead Social Leader, and every student leader passes Safeguarding for Centre leaders.
  4. SocioStory approves the Centre and gives it a campus network manager. Only approved Centres receive requests.
