- See a drive through: the roster, the briefing, check-in, sign-off and thanks
- Lead without burning out, and keep your college's records straight
- Hand over at the end of your term without passing on anyone's personal details
Syllabus
Every lesson ends with a quick check. Each chapter ends with a quiz you need 60% to pass, and the course ends with a final assessment (70% to pass).
1Chapter 1The roleWhat a SocioStory Centre is, what Social Leaders do and don't do, and working with your faculty anchor and your peers.
2Chapter 2Handling NGO requestsHow requests reach your Centre, judging fit and safety, saying no well, agreeing the details and keeping members' details private.
3Chapter 3Building your teamBringing members in, a welcoming first meeting, matching people to roles and drives, inclusion, and handling no-shows kindly.
4Chapter 4Running a driveFrom the roster and the briefing to check-in, sign-off, hours, thanks and the story.
5Chapter 5Leading wellCommunication, conflict and decisions, boundaries and burnout, your Centre's health, and records for the college.
6Chapter 6HandoverThe end of term, succession, the handover checklist, and what to pass on and what never to.
