About SocioStory · since 2019

We tell the stories of people who do good work

SocioStory began in 2019 with a simple aim: to recognise the hard work of social workers who rarely make the news. Today it is becoming a platform where India's social sector tells its stories, learns and finds the people who can help.

Our purpose

Most good work never makes the news, and never reaches the people who could support it.

For years we have published the stories of NGOs and changemakers, hosted The Unsung Heroes, and brought CSR leaders and NGOs together at events and webinars. That is what we heard, again and again.

So SocioStory is growing into a platform. NGOs, CSR foundations, companies and colleges get accounts and a publishing desk. NGOs can raise volunteer requests that college Centres help fill. Volunteers earn a certificate for their hours. And the best stories reach more than 50,000 readers every week in our weekly mailer.

What we do

Evaluate. Nurture. Connect. Uplift.

  1. 01

    Evaluate

Our editors read every story closely before it goes live: the people in it, their consent, and how clearly it's told.

  2. 02

    Nurture

Our editors help NGOs and changemakers tell their stories well, and our Academy helps them grow.

  3. 03

    Connect

We connect NGOs with volunteers through college Centres, and with CSR teams looking for credible partners.

  4. 04

    Uplift

We put unsung work in front of the people who can support it, from readers to funders.
