Is SocioStory really free for NGOs?
Yes. Your profile, updates, stories, Academy courses and replies to CSR teams cost nothing. You pay only if you want your own website or want to start conversations with CSR teams.
Why can't every NGO message every CSR team?
Because CSR teams would stop listening. Each company sets rules for who can write to them, such as the causes and states they fund. That keeps proposals relevant, so yours gets read.
Do you check our documents or finances?
No. SocioStory publishes your stories and helps people discover your work; we don't audit NGOs. Your profile is written by you, and funders do their own due diligence.
Can we use our own domain for the website?
Yes. Add your domain, ask whoever manages it to add two DNS records, and we switch on HTTPS for you. Until then, your site lives on a SocioStory address.
Do we lose our content if we stop paying for the website?
No. Your profile, updates and stories stay on SocioStory. Only the separate website goes offline until you renew.
