Data and maps
PIN codes and districts
Contains PIN code and district data from the Department of Posts’ All India Pincode Directory on data.gov.in, under the Government Open Data License – India.
We use it to fill in a drive’s district from its PIN code, to sort drives by distance from a PIN code someone types, and to draw our maps. The Department of Posts doesn’t endorse SocioStory, and the data comes without warranty. We never use anyone’s device location.
Aspirational districts
NITI Aayog, List of 112 Aspirational Districts (July 2023).
